strong start to 2005
RAC Software Solutions reports a strong start to 2005 with a number of key wins within the public and private sectors.
Public sector new business deals include: North Wales Police; Northamptonshire Fire Service; Fife Council; Fareham Borough Council, Sedgemoor District Council, and the five Northern Ireland Education & Library Boards.
Key features of the software include workshop and stores management, invoicing, service scheduling, fleet administration, accident analysis, cost control and critical date reminders, which will help to ensure compliance with duty of care legislation.
Tom Robertson, Fleet Transport Manager at Fife Council is responsible for maintaining a diverse fleet of 2,500 items. He explains ”It was Tranman’s web portal technology that clinched the deal, as well as the strong reference’s for the product across the public sector. We are reassured that we have selected a company that is highly experienced and understands our fleet requirements.”
Peter Meredith of Northamptonshire Fire says: “we consider the system to be essential in helping us meet the changing requirements of the Fire Service. We are happy that RAC Software has the experience to deliver and Tranman is a very comprehensive system. It will enable us to maintain our workshops and stores, and effectively monitor and control costs."
Private sector business has been generated by Tranman’s popular entry-level software, which was compared with other products and came out the favourite. These include Provident Insurance plc, Mann Island Finance Ltd and Abel and Cole.
Finally, RAC Software Solutions has also donated a five-user Traman system to Save the Children in Indonesia. It will be used to manage the fleet of LGV’s that are delivering relief stores to the Aceh region. All of these vehicles are critical to the effort there and need to be managed and maintained effectively for maximum use. It will also enable the organisation to improve planning for future emergencies, by using the data gathered in the present relief effort.
