Central Scotland Police choose Tranman
Central Scotland Police has chosen Tranman to manage its fleet and workshop operation, so that now RAC Software supplies 33 of the 52 UK police forces. Tranman replaces an existing fleet system to improve the management, control and utilisation of the force’s 200 vehicle fleet.
Tranman will be used to run the workshop in Stirling including stock management. Of key importance to Central Scotland Police is the ability to benchmark their fleet operation against other police forces through the use of standardised key performance indicators.
Central Scotland Police is also keen to benefit from the improved management information reports that can be tailored and generated through Crystal, Tranman’s reporting facility. These will enable them to develop a strategy to improve accident management.
Alex Gray, Fleet Manager, Central Scotland Police explains: “We needed a system that was tailored to our needs and also that we could trust, so we consulted with a number of other police forces and they recommended Tranman. Following a period of intense evaluation we decided this was definitely the best system for us.
“Another plus point for Tranman for us was the on-going support offered through the Tranman helpdesk. We are confident that RAC Software will be a long term business partner, helping us to get the most from our investment in the software.”
