Aberdeenshire Council chooses Tranman to improve fleet performance

Aberdeenshire Council is the latest organisation to select Tranman to improve efficiencies in the running of its fleet and workshop operation.  Aberdeenshire Council manage 3,200 fleet items ranging from strimmers to specialist vehicles, such as 32 tonne refuse vehicles and gritters.

Repair and maintenance of the fleet is carried out across five workshops.  Tranman will be installed in all five locations to provide maintenance scheduling, job management and stores control.

Ian Paisley, Fleet Manager, Aberdeenshire Council explains one of the benefits of choosing Tranman, “We hope to use the Tranman web portals to improve the level of service to our customers.  Customers will be able to log in to the Tranman web portals to view how long their vehicle has been in the workshop and to monitor its progress.  Another web portal will allow customers to report vehicle defects on-line.”

Before selecting Tranman as their fleet software supplier, Aberdeenshire evaluated four suppliers.  Tranman was chosen due to the company’s extensive experience in working with Scottish local authorities and blue light organisations, which Aberdeenshire Council work in partnership with.  Ian Paisley adds, “ Tranman was competitively priced, user friendly and met our specification.”

Commenting on the contract award, Ian Searle, Sales and Marketing Director, VT Software Solutions said, “This is a great win for the team and shows the continuing dominance of Tranman in the public sector.  The latest version of the Tranman software, which includes new features for faster data browsing, easier navigation and completely flexible, intuitive screen layouts, will ensure Tranman retains its market leading position.”
